What is Qigong?
Qi as a concept, is a fundamental part of Chinese culture and references to it can be found in writings, drawings, dance and poetry as well as being the underpinning philosophy of Chinese medicine. Loosely translated it represents the life force of a person, nature and the universe
When a person is ill, it is said that their Qi is out of balance. Restoring the balance of qi is the primary goal of any Chinese medicine practitioner and this can be done via direct manipulation such as acupuncture, nutritional manipulation using herbs or using Qigong for self healing or healing others.
Many practices and disciplines for cultivating and refining qi have been developed over the years and there are many forms of Qigong all of which promote healing in one way or another.
If we break down the word Qigong it separates into to two; Qi and Gong. The word Gong has many interpretations but the two I like most are “work” or “exercises in strengthening” so for me Qigong means exercises in strengthening my qi or working with Qi
How Does it Work?
Qigong uses whole body movement to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit with the goal of improving and maintaining overall health.
Movements are typically gentle and smooth, aimed for relaxation and healing while using focus and visualisation to enhance the movement of Qi throughout the body
Qigong can be practised either standing, sitting or lying down and is therefore safe and easy for everyone to participate in.

How am I supported?
The Qigong that I work with is specifically targeted to Self Healing and rebuilding mental, physical and emotional strength.
Sessions are offered online via Zoom or if you want to get a group of people together to practice locally it might be possible for me to come in person.
I collaborate with many Qigong Teachers throughout the UK and Europe attending workshops and retreats which would also be available to my clients
I can combine Qigong with Health Coaching Consultations to greater enhance the effectiveness of your coaching plan.
